PowerBOX 120A — Quick Installation Guide
Intended use: safe and organized distribution of battery power to the starter, alternator, and PDM using SURLOK Plus® connectors.
1) Preparation
- Select a stable and level mounting surface.
- Completely disconnect the power supply before starting work.
- Prepare the required tools, especially a wire crimping tool designed for SURLOK Plus® connectors.
2) Mounting
- Install the PowerBOX in a location that is easily accessible for maintenance.
- Secure the housing to the mounting surface using M4 screws.
- Ensure the PowerBOX is firmly mounted and stable.
3) Cable Connection
- Connect the +12 V (positive) cable from the battery to the PowerBOX input.
- Connect cables from the PowerBOX outputs to the PDM / alternator / starter according to the markings on the housing.
- If required, any output may be used for any +12 V consumer or device.
- Use only high-quality cables with a 25 mm² cross-section.
4) SURLOK Plus® Connectors
- All wires in SURLOK connectors must be crimped using the appropriate tools.
- Ensure each connector is fully locked in place (“click”).
5) Check Before Power-On
- Check for exposed wires or incorrect connections.
- Ensure all screw connections are properly tightened.
- Reconnect the battery power supply.
Safety Notes
- Never work on the system with power connected.
- PowerBOX maximum continuous current rating: 120 A.
- Do not use cables with an incorrect cross-section — this can cause overheating and fire risk.
